I am a freelance developer working primarily for Quansight Labs. I am a member of the steering council for Numpy and a core contributor to PyPy. and through that work have contributed to many other projects. In addition to contributing to python performance and usability, I love teaching and helping new people learn how to use python and how to become open source contributors.

Ask me about Open Source, getting involved in NumPy development, or when to use PyPy in the real world.

If I had more funding, I would devote more time to mentoring and developing video content for the NumPy youtube channel as well as developing a similar channel for PyPY.

A monthly salary similar to what I make at my day job is unfortunately unrealistic, certainly anytime soon. But $1000 a month would be a first step towards justifying setting aside additional hours specifically towards mentoring other open source contributors in the areas of packaging and performance.
