Thanks for coming to my sponsor page!

I work at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (NL) as lead data scientist. Herefore, I worked in various domains, such as Cyber, Finance, Telecom, and the Medical domain where I developed algorithms with a strong focus to let them work in real-world applications.

My open-source projects

In my free time, I like to work on my open-source libraries which are readily downloaded over a million times in total last year! Wow! In addition, I also like writing technical blogs about machine learning methods!

My top libraries are bnlearn which is about causality, the distfit library which is about distribution fitting. Other libraries, such as pypickle, are adopted by conda-forge. Besides the development of such fundamental libraries, I also develop end-to-end libraries that can help you (data) scientists with your projects. An example is the clustimage library which allows clustering of images or the hgboost library that allows fitting models, and handling data in such a way that data leakage is avoided and parameters can be tuned with explainable insights.

If you want more cool features then I need you as a sponsor!

It is very cool to have so many downloads! Love it! but the increasing number of users also increased the number of questions and requests. I now spent many hours in the evenings and weekends answering your questions, and I'm very happy to keep doing that! However, like most of you, I can spend time only once, which leaves me no time anymore for the development of new functionalities. I would love to spend more time developing new (core) functionalities. As an example, for bnlearn I want to implement functionality to compute causal graphs based on continuous data or the development of finding peaks in 2D graphs. The implementation of such functionalities will take a considerable amount of time to build from scratch and test properly.

@erdogant

Reaching the sponsors would buy me time to further develop my open-source projects in part time. There is an urgent need for the development of causal models that can handle continuous data. I will start with that and directly help over ten-thousand users on a monthly basis to allow them to make prescriptive causal models.
