We are a non-profit organization relying on donors such as you. By our bylaws we do not pay the Foundation officers and all donations go directly toward improving the lot of D programmers everywhere by means of:

  • Scholarships for students working on D projects
  • Hardware and software expenses
  • Paid contributions for development, maintenance, public relations, and more.
  • Paid articles for The D Blog

The D Language Foundation makes use of a number of platforms to accept donations. Some of the money is earmarked for specific usage, but most goes into a General Fund that covers a variety of expenses. GitHub is where D development happens. So we want the money we raise through GitHub's Sponsorship Program to go toward development. Help us reach our sponsorship goal of $2000 per month and we'll be able to fund a part-time programmer to get important work done.

$120 annually can cover a number of small fees the Foundation pays over the course of a year (such as those arising from financial transactions). It can also contribute to approximately 24 hours of work by a scholarship recipient. We really appreciate it!

$25 is good for approximately 5 hours of work from a scholarship recipient. The annual amount of $300 will cover the bounty we offer for one guest blog post, or a screencast for our YouTube channel. This is very kind of you!

To show our appreciation, we'll send you a DMan t-shirt if you continue your support for at least 4 months. Stretch it out to 8 months and we'll guarantee you an early-bird discount at DConf for as long as you continue to support us at this this tier.

$50 a month

Fifty dollars is the default amount the D Language Foundation uses to seed new bounties. It can also contribute to approximately 10 hours of work by a scholarship recipient. $600 a year will help us cover one more annual expenses, like the cost of a server.

$100 a month

$100 a month can really go a long way. It can cover four blog post or screencast bounties in a year, take care of a significant chunk of an annual expense, or contribute to a larger task bounty or contract.
