My name is Sebastian Tschan and I'm the person behind the online identity of blueimp.
I'm originally from Germany, now living and working in Tokyo, Japan.

My most well-known project is likely jQuery File Upload - which I still maintain actively today - but I'm also the author of JavaScript Load Image, blueimp Gallery, blueimp/wdio (a Docker setup for WebdriverIO), MJPEG Server, aws-smtp-relay and a couple of other projects mainly written in JavaScript, Golang and shell script.

Not listed on GitHub are my original Open Source Projects, an AJAX Chat that integrated into all the popular bulletin boards (forum systems like phpBB) back then - now maintained by Philip Nicolcev - as well as the Mozilla Firefox extensions Secure Login and Autofill Forms.

I like software that is easy-to-use, with few dependencies and good performance and strive to follow those aspects in my own projects.

I also strongly believe in humans over code and hope to make software and open source an environment that is welcoming for all.
