OpenDriveLab is a non-profit research entity working on cutting-edge research in autonomous driving. It is part of the realm of Shanghai AI Lab, an AI research center based in Shanghai and Hong Kong. The team was founded officially on July 17, 2021.

🎯 Our vision is to build the next generation of autonomous driving, sweep the current paradigm if necessary, and build an artificial intelligence autonomous agent towards a broad spectrum of applications in Autonomous Driving, Embodied AI, Robotics, and many other domains. Through the years, we have featured some work and events, including:

  • UniAD, the first full-stack end-to-end autonomous driving algorithm pipeline, won the CVPR 2023 Best Paper Award which is a prestigious worldwide level recognition of excellence.

  • BEVFormer, a well-known prevailing 3D object detector that is adopted by many manufacturers/scholars in both industry and academia. This work was featured in the 2022 Top 100 AI Papers.

  • Autonomous Driving Challenge, the 2023 edition has wrapped up with total success, with more than 200 teams across 15 countries/regions participating. We will be back in 2024 with more challenging and exciting problems!

  • DriveAGI, the current ongoing project that we have, targeting a general AGI for the autonomous agent. Simply put, we are building a PALM-e / RT-X version in the domain of autonomous driving!

In a nutshell, what we are doing at OpenDriveLab is fresh, cutting-edge, real demand(s) requested from the production, and always being confronted in an international, multi-lateral context with awesome collaborators around the globe.

The donated sponsorship would be used for all non-profit scenarios, for example, hosting an event at the top-tiered international conference, and appropriate cost to build the ecosystem in terms of data, codebase, cloud service, APIs, etc. In return, our generous Sponsors (yes, you!!!) would get the latest news from us, early access to our exclusive work progress, and so much beyond.
