Excel-DNA

Excel-DNA integrates .NET with Excel. It is an independent project to provide the best .NET support for making Excel add-ins, actively developed, maintained and supported since 2005.

We aim to support and develop Excel-DNA further to keep up-to-date with new versions of .NET, and extend features to make it more reliable and easier to use.

The Excel-DNA sponsorship funds additional paid-for development time dedicated to the project. In this way, sponsorship encourages further improvements, including

  • support for the .NET 6 runtime,
  • improved development tools for professional developers, like testing helpers and installer guidance,
  • better documentation of advanced features, and
  • introductory tutorials and tools to assist beginners and those migrating from VBA to .NET. for Excel development.

Higher tiers of sponsorship get access to online support sessions with me (@govert) to discuss architecture and design choices, or look at specific problems.
