Text processing is commonplace, and unfortunantly often ignored. I obsess over quality text processing tools. Usability matters, because you shouldn't need to be a linguistic expert just to parse a CSV file efficiently. Performance matters, because higher performance means processing more documents every work day, or saving money on electricity if you're already meeting your needs.
