I think I was not able to convey my question properly. I went through the manual and the only relevant option that I could find was SPACESHIP_PROMPT_ADD_NEWLINE. If I set this to 'false', newlines after the every line disappears but I just want to remove the first newline when the terminal starts, not the rest of them. |

I am running this same issue, but with the powerlevel10k theme, and using that patch by replacing "SPACESHIP" with "POWERLEVEL9k" doesn't work, it just removes all newlines. I might be slightly off-topic here, given that it's not the same theme, but i couldn't find this problem elsewhere. |

Powerlevel10k doesn't print an empty line when you open zsh. It's been fixed some time ago. |
