Hi! I'm running Spaceship on my Raspberry Pi smart home server perfectly fine, so you can do it too!

Just install zsh on your Pi and install Spaceship. You can use Manual installation, if you're not sure on what installation method to choose.

When I follow those instructions, it gives me this:

So I upgraded zsh and it still would not work.

The problem is that you are trying to run Spaceship with bash whereas Spaceship requires zsh.

You have to install Zsh and change your default shell like this:

# install zsh (apt works for ubuntum you might need apt-get for raspberrypi os)
apt install zsh

# change default shell to zsh
chsh -s "$(command -v zsh)"
