Description

Currently, on Jetbrains Pycharm (MacOS), logging in to Sourcery works as follows:

  1. Open Settings/Preferences window.
  2. Locate Sourcery in list on the right hand side.
  3. Click on the "Login" button. This takes you to the auth.sourcery.ai page asking you to confirm a code.
  4. Close the Pycharm settings window.
  5. Look for Pycharm notification with authentication code.
  6. Match code on Pycharm notification with that shown on auth.sourcery.ai page and click "Continue".
  7. Complete login to Sourcery.

I'm having to do this once a day when actively working with Pycharm.

It would be nice if I could trigger the login without having to open the Settings/Preferences window.

Hi @denisng - we're working on making this easier.

Why are you having to do this every day?

I kept getting a notification that Sourcery was not logged in every time I launched PyCharm.

Oh dear - sorry abou that!

We're releasing a new version of our PyCharm plugin with lots of big changes next week (almost a complete rewrite). I'll check back in then to see if that has addressed the issue, otherwise we'll dig in further.

I'm having something similar.

After update to plugin version 1.9, when the login process is completed in browser I have the notification above in Pycharm:

"Sourcery login failure: ('Connection aborted.', RemoteDisconnected('Remote end closed connection without response'))"

OS: Linux Ubuntu 22.04
PyCharm 2023.2.1 (Professional Edition)

@Hellebore,

FYI. I updated to plugin version 1.8.0 recently. After the update I was able to enter my user token to login. I have not seen the login failure notification since.

I got an update notification that plugin version 1.10.1 was available today. I've just updated and things seem to be working OK so far.
