There is no feature except for preformatted markups to escape special characters.

In parameters list in a command:

   image(path_to_image.jpg, "alt text, can contain comma if quoted"):

You can quote to include a comma, but you can't include double quotations in double quoted parameter. (You can include using single quotation, though)
