I've been looking into SimpleLogin's integration with Coinbase Commerce for crypto payments and recently became aware of an announcement made by Coinbase Commerce. They have stated that all merchants using their platform must migrate to a new payment protocol by April 15th.

According to this announcement, users will be mandated to possess a Coinbase exchange account to proceed with payments, a requirement that could potentially limit accessibility and convenience for the user base.

Questions:

  1. Is SimpleLogin planning to migrate to the new Coinbase protocol before the deadline?
  2. Alternatively, is there consideration for transitioning to a different crypto payment processor that offers more inclusive and user-friendly options?

Hi we do need to migrate to the new Coinbase protocol as otherwise we can't continue using the platform. We will however look into the option of using another platform for accepting crypto payment. In the meantime you can also use our reseller https://proxysto.re/en/index.html which supports a number of crypto.
