Bug description

When disappearing messages expire, the whole transcript shifts around

Steps to reproduce

• Enable disappearing messages
• Send a few messages to fill up the screen
• Observe that as they expire, even off screen, the transcript bubbles move around

Actual result: Transcript shifts around as messages expire

Expected result: Transcript stays stationary as messages expire
