Unable to Accept Request to Join Group

Bug description

I have received a request to join my signal group via link but am unable to accept the new member.

Steps to reproduce

• Clicking "Add to Group" on the request gives the error "Group could not be updated".
• If I click on the user's profile and try to add via "Add to another group" I get the error "xxxxx is already a member of xxxxx".

Actual result: The end result is the user is stuck in a state where they cannot be added, and every time I open the group I get the blue bar at the top saying "1 pending member request".

Expected result: I should be able to accept the incoming group request
