GPL is viral, which is inacceptable.

Hi @KOLANICH !

Could you elaborate your specific concerns with the GPL? If there is a strong reasoning we would be open to consider relicensing under a permissive license. We found that for now the GPL best fits what we are looking for in a license.

No specific concerns, just don't want to license my code under GPL because I dislike GPL.

I would also love to see this happened. Sherpa is a really cool library, but licensing it GPL means any framework that integrates it, would also be forced to license under GPL. I would at least consider licensing it under LGPL so MIT/BSD/Apache licensed software can integrate it.
Consider as well that most software in this space is permissively licensed, including the frameworks you are using for sherpa.
