HowsMyFlattening Dataset - Canada

This dataset is helpful in training models to predict and help policy makers to adjust the knobs on non-pharmaceutical interventions (distancing, testing and tracing strategies) link to the dataset.

Update Frequency: Frequently (mostly likely every everyday)

Dataset stats: ~36mb with 24 .csv files.

Data Sources:


Connected daily data from HowsMyFlattening data repository, featuring a crowdsourced NPI dataset covering regions across Canada compiled by team led by Jonathan Smith (Layer6 AI) and Liam McCoy (University of Toronto Medicine), as well as daily case data compiled by the COVID-19 Canada Open Data Working Group and ICU data from CCSO. The core dataset from HowsMyFlattening contains:

Dataset Contains
Canadian Region-level NPIs Granular interventions across major regions and sub-regions of Canada from our crowdsourced dataset
Oxford Country-level NPIs 13 general interventions cataloged across most countries
Google mobility data Aggregated mobility data for a few different sections (residential, grocery, workplace, …) across Canadian jurisdictions
Testing, ICU, deaths, etc Testing, mortality, recovery, hospitalization and ICU data from Ontario and other jurisdictions.
