Essentially what title says. I don't know if this is possible/feasible on Linux, but it is a feature I very much enjoy on similar Windows applications.
In the editor you'd select a window. When that window is focused the preset would automatically be loaded.
If you switch to another window with an associated preset then that preset is loaded.
If you switch to a window without an associated preset then the preset(s) are unloaded.

It currently takes a relatively long time to switch profile since it destroys and recreates the device. During which time your input device stops working.
And woe betide you if you were holding a button down on that device while the switch occurs. It's hard to un-press a key that you can't access anymore.
