Daily status - 2022 July

This is the daily status thread for 2022, July. Daily status posts will be put daily (or when I get to it) below this post.

Starting on 2022 January 14th, entries have gone back to their shortened form. This was done to save time, memory, and prevent unnecessary duplication. I hope to get caught up by February 14th, then stay caught up.

Status update: 2022 July 1st

I had a decent day with development today. I am still struggling to stay caught up, but I am slowly getting there. It has been a struggle since 2021 December 28th. I made significant progress on getting caught up, but there are still some projects left.

Today was the first day of a new month (2022 July) so I started with a fresh slate of progress.

Today was the day of the week where I create organizations. The majority of my time on GitHub went towards creating and documenting organizations. As usual, data for this can be found here (GitHub_Organization_Info)

Today, I began to fall behind on status post work, along with Git-image part A & B work. I created a new repository for learning Cython, along with 8 forks. I publicly released 5 projects today, which include:

  • FloweredNotch
  • MalNotch
  • Notchware
  • Ukraine History Simulator
  • WichCraft

I did partial WacOS work. I worked on the very verbose UHS (Ukraine History Simulator) project, I am making slow progress on this project, as there is a ton to it. I also caught up on my graphic design repository. Additionally, I kept my Raspberry Pi blog up to date, along with the audio database.

The new stats repository takes over an hour to process the results. The results have been really good for the previous 2 days, but did poorly today.

I didn't do anything else today on GitHub.

I have stalled on trying to get all the way caught up. Here is the last project I have left:

The last projects

1. Marine Biology
1A. DuckDuckGo data (likely a single commit)
2A. Git-Templates notes uploads

Milly is still doing OK, I will keep logging her status here. She really seems like she will until her 15th birthday. She has made it to 15th birthday, and is still going strong, over 3 months later, as of 2022, July 1st. She is having off days from time to time, but nothing too serious yet. She has greatly exceeded our expectation on life expectancy, and is still going.

Move note

Data has been moved on the 2022 February 8th revision, which started with the 2022 January 14th entry post. It was too difficult to maintain, and not worth maintaining. Data will need to be moved to subprojects. Data from 2022 January 13th and below contain all the uncut data.

The following major data was omitted:

  • Counters (commented out)

  • Language knowledge sections (Java, JavaScript, etc.)

  • All other subsections

The data was mostly being duplicated with little change, occupying unnecessary space. I have now gone back to the classic way of writing status posts. It should reduce the writing time per day from ~20+ minutes to <5 minutes.

Today, I fell further behind on status post work, along with Git-image part B work, although I did get caught up with part A work. I created a new repository, a very small project, which is a macro collection for switching to/changing to/from various forms of the word Græy, including:

  • Gray
  • Grey
  • Græy
  • GRAY
  • GREY
  • GRÆY

The project is titled The Græy(t) macro the macro is currently written only in Python, but support for other languages will be added in the future.

This project was created today, along with 24 forks.

I didn't do any WacOS work, with plans to resume still on hold. I did not work on the very verbose UHS (Ukraine History Simulator) project today. Additionally, I kept my Raspberry Pi blog up to date, along with the audio database.

I had a decent day with development today.

Today, I got caught back up on status post work, along with Git-image part B work, and I stayed caught up with Git-image part A work. I did brief work on The Græy(t) macro today, and worked on several other repositories. I have recently updated my API guidelines, and some new changes began going into effect today, including reversing certain filenames (Gitconfig files) and increasing language density.

I updated my PolyGlot repository to include some Ukrainian translations, and I did heavy language density (license) changes to my journaling development image repository and daily articles repository. I also updated the Ukraine History Simulator, and added 1 new graphic design asset to my graphic design repository.

These projects were modified today. I also made 22 forks today, of the rest of the Homebrew repositories

I didn't do any WacOS work, with plans to resume still on hold. I kept my Raspberry Pi blog up to date, along with the audio database.

I had a very good day with development today.

HerdSpeak project

Today, I stayed caught up on status post work, along with Git-image part B work, and I stayed caught up with Git-image part A work. I have recently updated my API guidelines, and I have been actively going through projects, including old ones, to apply the new changes.

With Learn repositories today, I updated the core Learn repository along with the Learn-Ada and Learn-Solidity projects. I finalized the Solidity repository, as I wanted to get it over with, the Ada repository still needs work. I am getting back into this project.

I did mass work, and also updated the Ukraine History Simulator, and added 1 new graphic design asset to my graphic design repository.

I started a new project today known as HerdSpeak which is a fork of Cowsay. I intend to extend the project, and keep development going. Notable new features include:

  • A simple Cowfile creator (both CLI (terminal) and GUI)
  • Plans to port to BSD, MacOS, Windows, and other operating systems
  • Standardization of the Cow file format
  • And more!

These projects were modified today. I also made 4 forks today, of some cowsay projects.

I didn't do any WacOS work, with plans to resume still on hold. I kept my Raspberry Pi blog up to date, along with the audio database.

The new stats repository takes over an hour to process the results. The results have been poor for the past 3 days.

2022 July 4th protest

I am going to get a bit political here: this year, I didn't celebrate the 4th of July this year, due to ongoing and increasing issues with police brutality (notably the 8 police officers who shot an unarmed black man over 70 times, which is basically death by firing squad) reduction of human rights, monopolies getting bigger, constant mass shootings, rising Fascism and Authoritarianism, and many other reasons. I still respect this country somewhat, but there isn't much worth celebrating at the moment.

Status update: 2022 July 5th

I had a very good day with development again today.

Personally, I had a very difficult time last night, it was very difficult getting to sleep, and I dealt with mental pains as well. I fell asleep very late in the morning, and woke up much later in the day, leading to slightly less getting done.

Today, I did mass renovations in several repositories, and did lots of configuration work for Learn repositories, alot of it having to do with GitHb actions. I updated the following learn repositories today:

I did improvements to the actions in SNU 2D ProgrammingTools and made lots of improvements to the HerdSpeak project, along with a pCloud image repository, some graphic design, and 4 forks. My GitHub profile stats ran really poorly today (but still ran nonetheless) and I stayed caught up with status post work, but I fell behind on Git-image part B work. I did stay caught up with Git-image part A work though

On my goal to add language extensions to license files, along with other modernization modifications to projects, I went towards the old Idle Miner Tycoon image repository today.

I did mass work, and also updated the Ukraine History Simulator. I also added 1 new graphic design asset to my graphic design repository.

I didn't do any WacOS work, with plans to resume still on hold. I kept my Raspberry Pi blog up to date, along with the audio database.

The new stats repository takes over an hour to process the results. The results have been poor for the past 4 days, and have very poor for the past 1 day.

I didn't do anything else today on GitHub.

I have stalled on trying to get all the way caught up. Here is the last project I have left:

I had a very good day with development again today.

Today, I continued work on the HerdSpeak project (a fork of Cowsay) I did mass cow file sorting, and sorted my "unsorted" folder. Due to the inclusion of PonySay into HerdSpeak, Pony is now one of the top 15 languages in use on my projects. It reached this spot similarly to the way Mathematica did, with lots of 3rd party source code being used. I intend to let it (Pony source code share) rise as much as it can, then let it fizzle down and drop below the top 15.

MASSIVE DISCLAIMER: I have not watched MLP (for more than 2 seconds) nor do I plan on watching it. I have some general knowledge of the show due to it being mentioned by so many other media segments. It is not because of any grudges or because of its community, I genuinely have no interest in the show.

I had an earlier bedtime today, and had to skip some tasks. I failed to get caught up on image file naming (in full) and stayed caught up on most other work. I have been doing mass license and project language file work, I am starting to dive less into older projects. I am getting caught up with this new renovation (duplicating licenses, and applying different programming language extensions to them) I almost ran out of time to work on the status post for 2022, Tuesday, July 5th. Additionally, I updated the Ukraine History Simulator (UHE) project, along with work on my journaling image repository.

My GitHub profile stats ran really poorly today (but still ran nonetheless) and I stayed caught up with status post work. I also added 1 new graphic design asset to my graphic design repository.

I had a very good day with development again today.

I resumed work on the WacOS project today, with a new subproject where I import various versions of the Swift programming language into the project. Originally, I only added Pascal, but kept going, and added version 3.0.1 of Swift into the repository today (partially)

I also worked on 1 Learn repository today, which includes:

I also created 25 forks (mostly Infocom projects) and raised an issue in leechim6/hello-world, regarding the Thrift language not being present. Today, I again failed to get caught up on image file naming (in full) and stayed caught up on most other work. I have been doing mass license and project language file work. I did not update the Ukraine History Simulator (UHE) project today again either.

My GitHub profile stats ran today with poor results. It is entering its second season of usage, I renewed the access token today, and puslished the first release for the project. I did not add any assets to my graphic design repository today. I kept my Raspberry Pi blog up to date, along with the audio database.

The new stats repository takes over an hour to process the results. It ran again today, but gave inadequate results.

I didn't do anything else today on GitHub.

I have stalled on trying to get all the way caught up. Here is the last project I have left:

The last projects

1. Marine Biology
1A. DuckDuckGo data (likely a single commit)
2A. Git-Templates notes uploads

Milly is still doing OK, I will keep logging her status here. She really seems like she will until her 15th birthday. She has made it to 15th birthday, and is still going strong, over 3 months later, as of 2022, July 12th.

  • Seanpm2001 Car - A repository regarding technical specifications and requirements for my first and future automobiles.

I got caught back up on Git-image part B work today, and stayed caught up on most other work. I have been doing mass license and project language file work. I did not get to get caught back up on my status post work today. I did not update the Ukraine History Simulator (UHE) project today again either. I earned the new Starstruck achievement today for my It's time to cut WideVine DRM repository reaching 16 stars on 2021 September 4th.

My GitHub profile stats ran today with good results. I also added some assets to my graphic design repository today. I kept my Raspberry Pi blog up to date, along with the audio database.

I had a decent day with development again today.

Today was the day of the week where I create organizations. The majority of my time on GitHub went towards creating and documenting organizations. As usual, data for this can be found here (GitHub_Organization_Info)

I had to split the work into 2 parts today, I will finish tomorrow. My new laptops battery is starting to corrode after a little over a month of heavy usage. It is less than 1% corroded, so it isn't much of an issue yet.

I also created 25 forks today of various projects, mostly GNUStep.

I fell behind on Git-image part B work today, and stayed caught up on most other work. I have been doing mass license and project language file work. I did not get to get caught back up on my status post work today. I did not update the Ukraine History Simulator (UHE) project today again either.

My GitHub profile stats ran today with inaequate results. I also added some assets to my graphic design repository today. I kept my Raspberry Pi blog up to date, along with the audio database.

I revived the MEDOS project today, starting to work on the projects for the first time since 2020 and 2021 respectively.

The new stats repository takes over an hour to process the results. It ran again today, and gave inadequate results.

I didn't do anything else today on GitHub.

I had a decent day with development again today.

I finished the GitHub organization info week 24 workload later today, but mostly did MEDOS work today. There was a brief Internet slowdown as I finished batch 15-18 of AdCom images, and batches 1-3 of Tree WOrld images. I am still falling behind on status post work today, but I got caught back up on most other work. I have been doing mass license and project language file work. I did not get to get caught back up on my status post work today. I did not update the Ukraine History Simulator (UHE) project today again either.

I also created 25 forks today of various Ren'Py repositories.

My GitHub profile stats failed to run today. I also added some assets to my graphic design repository today. I kept my Raspberry Pi blog up to date, along with the audio database.

The new stats repository takes over an hour to process the results. It failed to run today.

My GitHub profile stats ran successfully today. and gave good results I also added some assets to my graphic design repository today. I kept my Raspberry Pi blog up to date, along with the audio database.

The new stats repository takes over an hour to process the results. It ran correctly today, and gave full results/

I was bored in the evening today after getting caught back up. I was unsure what to do. I later decided to revive the SNU CloudDrive project with a new vision for how the frontend interface should look. I did MEDOS work earlier. I am still stuck on the SNU CloudDrive projects vision, unsure which language to write the new project in.

I didn't do anything else today on GitHub.

GitHub achievements have been helpful for me, as it gives me additional discipline. I don't want to come across as someone who just wants achievements.

I had a very difficult day with development today.

I had a good start to my day, but upon loading Firefox and subsequently GitHub, I found that my account had been flagged. GitHub support has been incredibly slow, with no updates or reasons why I was flagged. It severely disrupted my workflow, and put me under tons of stress. Every day that my account is blocked is a day my future can't progress, a day people can't see my projects, a day where opportunity is lost. I have been given the Spammy label, and all my projects are hidden from public view, yet 5 users managed to follow me (along with 1 new follower) while I am still completely invisible from view.

Nonetheless, I tried to continue somewhat normally today. I did the usual Git-image work, and created a Python traceback sample repository, as there aren't any existing repositories on GitHub with a majority of files in this language. I also created 24 forks of various projects. I was unable to repeal today on the suspension.

I got caught back up on status post work today, and am now caught up again. I did not update the Ukraine History Simulator (UHE) project today.

My GitHub profile stats process did not run today, as I was suspended. Additionally, I couldn't view non-text media in any of my repositories, and I had to sign out/go into private browsing mode to search source code, as for whatever reason, my account got blocked from doing so. I kept my Raspberry Pi blog up to date, along with the audio database.

I continued work on the SNU CloudDrive project with work being done on the DriveSKN format. I made more progress on it today, creating version 2 of the format.

I didn't do anything else today on GitHub.

I have stalled on trying to get all the way caught up. Here is the last project I have left:

I had a very difficult day with development today.

I was still flagged today for a second day in a row, but I still tried to continue as normal. I received 80,000+ emails in less than an hour, most of them regarding CI failures, and caused my inbox to overflow by nearly double its storage capacity. I am still trying to reach out, and have decided to delay GOI work this week to next week. It has been extremely stressful today.

I went to bed earlier tonight, as I have an optometrist appointment tomorrow. GitHub is still not unlocking my account, and I am wondering exactly what I did wrong, and if I get my account back, if I can remove the offending content and stop posting it. People have followed and unfollowed me during the flag, which I find odd.

Nonetheless, I tried to continue somewhat normally today. I did the usual Git-image work, and worked heavily on the SNU CloudDrive project. I also created 25 forks of various projects. I was unable to repeal today on the suspension.
