part_gpt
as mentioned here?

For the main scenario (using it on a custom USB key) it is not needed. And when adding it to the BIOS grub image, it might be too large for some post-MBR gaps.

On the other hand, for EFI and EFI32 I don't think size really matters, so I might think about it :)
