Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Track your position on the map while riding it

Describe the solution you'd like
using a similar method as Zwift GPS

Describe alternatives you've considered
A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered.

Additional context
The elevation profile you provide is better than anything out there. It would be awesome to see myself climbing it in real time. I know ZwiftGPS has this ability but they don't have the elevation profile you have!.

@doublejj0321 thanks for your suggestion 👍
I've been thinking about adding the elevation profile as a separate window when riding in Zwift. I'll need to investigate how tricky that would be but plotting the position on that is fairly trivial as that already happens when you simulate the route in Route Builder.

to be honest I haven't really played with your program too much. I was on the hunt for a way (like many others) to use the get a better elevation profile vs the standard one swift offers. I then stumbled upon RoadCaptain which has the exact profile I was looking for. I don't think I'll ever use the route builder myself, as I mainly want to use it for racing. I currently use ZwiftGPS which opens up and runs in the background showing my position on the map (along with segments) with no input from me. I would love to be able to do the same thing with the elevation profile. If there is a way to do this already then I must have missed it. I'd be more than happy to test anything you come up with.

Thanks

Ok so what I understand from that is that you're looking for something more like a dashboard to use while racing then navigation/following a route is that correct?

That's currently not a supported use case but it could become one perhaps.

You got it! If you ever get around to it, I'll be more than happy to send a donation for beer!

So I have some good news for you, it’s now possible to view the elevation profile while in Zwift when using RoadCaptain:

C1C3CA6D-D961-484C-8688-2A97FABF5266

You will need to use RoadCaptain to build & follow the route but this will already give you a lot of additional context while riding 👍

if you go to the releases page and grab the latest pre-release (0.6.11.1) you can play around with it. Let me know what you think!
