I was reviewing your stale branches and noticed you have over (forty) 40 very old stale branches.
Just curious to know why they are still there ?
If you want I would be happy to get in there and delete them...
Or maybe there is a reason you are still leaving them there...
Most repositories on github keep branches around only if they are active,
or there is future possibility someone will continue to work on them.
Maybe that is the case here.

I think this is mostly accidental. I guess many of them can be removed, but I cannot easily say that for all of them. I will certaintly have a look on my own now, thanks for the pointer :-).
Worth noting that there should be no harm in deleting branches from closed PRs, as you can always reopen the PR later to get the branch back if you want.
