The IUPAC alphabets provide extensions to the sequence alphabets that match certain combinations of alphabets e.g. commonly known things like N for any nucleotide or X for any amino acid. It seems that we already have this for DNA. However there is no such equivalent in the protein module. This would be helpful for compatibility with more complex queries.
