Currently, DOT displays a generic error message when opening it while the Bungie.net/Destiny 2 API is under maintenance. A message should be displayed to the user advising them of such, prompting them to check back and try again later.

(Maybe also provide a link to the Bungie Help Twitter account for possible status updates)
