I want to add the logs generated by rsyslog in real-time to the MySQL database
Actual behavior
There is no data in the database
Steps to reproduce the behavior
According to the example, add the following message to the rsyslog.com configuration file:
$ModLoad ommysql . :ommysql:localhost,database_name,account,password
In addition, after installing rsyslog, I did not have the configuration file createDB.SQL explained on the official website
Environment
rsyslog version: rsyslog: 8.32.0-1ubuntu4
platform:
-rsyslog-mysql version 8.32.0-1ubuntu4
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
8.32 is many years old at this point, if it is baing maintained at all, it's by
Ubuntu doing backports of some things to it. As such there has been development
and fixed that may or may not be in your version.
First off, try switching to the action() format, for things that are more
complex (like this) they tend to make it clearer what's happening.
second, are you getting any messages in mysql logs (failed login, failed insert,
etc)
