About Me

Hey! I am Rishabh, and I'm a master's in Language Technologies student at the Language Technologies Institute, School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University. I am being co-advised by Prof. Alan W. Black and Prof. Yulia Tsvetkov on a project on Negotiation in dialogue systems. I am broadly interested the field of Natural Language Processing.

Prior to this, I was a software engineer at Samsung Research Institute, Bangalore, India where I was working in the Voice Intelligence team (NLU) on dialogue systems and chat bots. Before that, I spent a wonderful semester working with Prof. Partha Talukdar at Machine And Language Learning (MALL) Lab in the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore as part of my Bachelor thesis. I completed my bachelor degree in computer science from BITS Pilani, Pilani in 2018.

I had worked on projects involving Sensor Fusion and Computer Vision in my university. More details can be found on the projects section.

During my undergraduate years, I had the opportunity to work on some interesting problems at IIRS, ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) and Samsung Research Institute, Bangalore.

Research Interest

My research interests are mainly in the field of Machine Learning with a focus on applications of ML techniques to various domains. Of late, I have also started taking interest in ANNs and Deep Neural Networks because of the intriguing way they work and mimic humans in cognitive tasks, especially those related to Language.
