Hi Ringvold,

Kudos for your work on this web panel. Have tried to implement this on my linux instance but unsuccessful.

Would require help on setting this up for production.

Can you please add detailed steps on how to make this work.

Thanks

Hi, xe1os!

Thanks for the interest! Unfortunately the project is not as far along as you might hope! 😅

The project is not ready to be used yet so if you need a web panel like this right now I would suggest checking out https://github.com/PhlexPlexico/G5API with https://github.com/PhlexPlexico/G5V. He also has a hosted version to try out: https://phlex.avidgamers.me/

Your issue does remind me to be more clear about the status of the project and communicate my plans and when to expect something that is usable. As for getting the project running that is actually already possible though there are very few features right now. I will update the README with more information about the status and how to get the project running.

An instance of this project is running where anyone who wishes can look follow the progress: https://get5-api.fly.dev/
As you can see at time of writing there a lot is missing. Honestly almost everything is missing but the foundation is in place and the features should not be too difficult to add.

I'm working towards an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) that has the minimal features required for the project to be useful. What would be a part of the MVP is for now just in my thoughts and solely decided by me, but I'm very interested to hear what the minimal functionality would be for others. Do let me know what you would need to use this project if PhlexPlexico's project does not suit you.

TL;DR: This project is not ready to be used yet. Check out https://github.com/PhlexPlexico/G5API for something that is more ready for use.

Hi Ringvold,

I’m familiar with PhlexPlexico, as i have previously used his get5-web which is now EOL. I was looking for similar web panel and features and came across your repo. In PhlexPlexico’s active get5 projects (G5API) I didn’t like the frontend (G5V). Though there are lots of features available still the G5V is not aligned or organised.

That is understandable. For now I think that G5API and G5V is the best alternative (though I don't know how easy it is to set up), but I do hope to have something useful working in not to olong with this repo.

I'm all for hearing what other people would like so if you have some thoughts in what you would like to se prioritized I hope you let me know (though I can not promise every wish will make it into the project). I suspect the UI will be a bit different from Phlex's project and it might never have feature parity but I hope to have a project that is useful for many. If you would like to contribute in any way, through development, testing or other ways, that is very welcome. 😄
