The README suggests that the current blocker for building ARM images is access to an ARM device. Packet.net offers an ARM tier, which is available to open-source projects through the Cloud Native Computing Foundation's Community Cluster: could you reach out to them and see if they can give you access so you can build RethinkDB for ARM? This is something we've had a couple of Docker users (myself included) express interest in.

The CNCF Cluster would also provide access to more x64/x86 machines for building/testing Linux and (possibly) Windows / macOS builds, too.

Thanks @stuartpb - I can recommend either the CNCF cluster or (for more specifically Arm hardware) the @WorksOnArm cluster at http://github.com/worksonarm/cluster . Open up an issue in that repo to get access to Cavium ThunderX equipment running at Packet.
