I created a simplified example of you might approach a remix migration when want to incrementally migrate an existing app, which you need to keep the lights on, to your new Remix Server
App flow of Example app
Our Remix app has a
$.tsx
file located atapp/routes/$.tsx
. This is a wild card (catch all) route.I make a request to for
/about
in my remix app. I don't have that route in my routes folder, it will go to the$.tsx
route.My
$.tsx route
, will attempt to fetch the/about
page (or any page I don't have in my Remix server currently) from my other server, grab the HTML and then return back into the Remix app. It works very seemlessly & I was surprised by the simple solution Diogo shared in the youtube videoCleanShot.2022-09-15.at.08.06.30.mp4
