What do you think about the tracking? Is it accurate or not?

Please also include these info in your response:

  • Operating System
  • Just Dance version + platform
  • JoyDance version
  • Bluetooth built-in or dongle

Thank you.

Operating System -> Windows
Just Dance version + platform -> Just dance 2017 pc
JoyDance version -> 0.5.1
Bluetooth built-in or dongle -> Built in, on my notebook.

Tracking sometimes it's really good and sometimes not, i play also with yuzu and is more accurate but idk if it's a router problem.

btw your project it's awesome!

@fedeshoker thank you for using!
Have you tried using a bluetooth dongle? For me the built-in bluetooth on my macbook pro is pretty bad. Everytime I move my hand behind my body the connection dropped.

I'll buy a Bluethoot dongle to try it on my desktop PC, so I could connect jd via lan cable. Thanks!

@fedeshoker please report back the result!

Today I bought the dongle and, in my PC with Lan cable it was a big change, much more accurate, in yuzu it's a little better but this is great now. Tomorrow i'll try it on my notebook with this dongle and i will report the result. I want to try it on a different platform but i don't have any and stadia is not supported on my country. Thanks for your work man!

Operating System: Windows 10
Game: JD2017 Xbox One S, JD2018 Xbox One S (I have all of them, though, so if you need any help testing then let me know. I have 2014; 2016-18 on Xbox One S and 2019-23 on Switch)
JoyDance Version: 0.5.2
Built-in Bluetooth

Nice work! The tracking seems pretty accurate. Since I'm out of practice, I can't say if it's 100% accurate, but it's certainly in the ballpark. I had a bit of trouble setting it up, but, once I got that figured out, using it is a breeze! My only complaints are:

  1. You can't navigate with the Joy-Con or select a coach. I know this is advertised, but only being able to play solo songs or songs where you want the first selected coach is a huge pain.
  2. You can't "sign-in" to Ubisoft Connect. I know this was rejected in Just Dance 2017 PC / Wii U Profile Issue #4, but not being able to edit your dancer card AT ALL is incredibly annoying. I know you would rather not ask users for their credentials, but it's their choice- they don't have to. And it's an open-source project, so people can check that nothing malicious is being done.
  3. Both of the suggestions from Suggestions for ease of use #18. I was able to create a shortcut that has PowerShell automatically open both the localhost site and JoyDance, but I would like it if this were automatic. And since it took me a long time to set up JoyDance; a single executable would have been really nice!
  4. The lights on the Joy-Cons are still moving back and forth as if the Joy-Cons are pairing. I know this typically happens, but it would be cool to see them identify which controller they are by using different patterns (just like when they're connected to a Switch).

Other than those, great job! I really look forward to using JoyDance more.
