Where is documentation for COPY_AS_IS ... ?

I'm attempting to create a rescue image. I get a warning that some files are symlinks to non-existing files. The advisory states that these files can still be preservedby ReaR using the COPY_AS_IS_configuration parameter. Where's the documentation on this parameter? I cannot find it anywhere.

if we want to ignore these broken symlinks, how do enforce that parameter? Mine is set like this

COPY_AS_IS=( $SHARE_DIR $VAR_DIR )
