PowerPC Support

hi there,

as i have read in other issues, it seems REAR is sort of lacking some active contributions in regards to PowerPC,
mainly as sebastien chabrolles which has contributed most of the PowerPC related code seems to have changed
positions.

At my company we have just setup and received a new Power9 System and we have some spare resources which
i could use to either test things, or even give someone remote access for development.

I think the main Target for PowerPC is all the funny Multipath SAN setup stuff (which we currently do not have) and
maybe check support on newer SLES versions. So this discussion should cover up some things that could happen
to verify REAR is working on Power like it should in newer verisons.

sorry for the long delay with an answer.
I noticed it - but was busy with other things - and forgot this one :-(

I appreciate it very much that you test ReaR on POWER.

In particular multipath and SAN where I have zero personal experience with.

Another POWER specific area that scares me is the various different kind
of booting methods that seem to exist on POWER - in particular with the
various different kind of virtualization on POWER (LPARs versus other VMs)?
Perhaps current POWER systems use only one or two booting methods
so problems there could be perhaps mostly legacy?
