Description

launchImageLibrary takes infinitely long time to resolve the promise for MOV videos

How to repeat issue and example

  • Record a video from iPhone
  • Pick it
  • Observe the delay

Solution

Is there a way to avoid it, or it's a generic limitation of the platform?

Additional Information

  • Image Picker version: 7.1.0
  • React Native version: 0.72.7
  • Platform: iOS

I was facing the same issue I switched to https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-native-image-crop-picker library and is working fine in both ios and android
