jtop makes the UI choppy on AGX Xavier with LXDE

Describe the bug

jtop makes the UI choppy. The symptoms are the same as in this old issue: #172

To Reproduce

1. Open a Terminal;
2. Start jtop;
3. The UI periodically stops responding for a brief instant. Everything is back to normal after quitting jtop
