I have this curved inner wall, and I don't know if that's what's creating my issue. But I can easily create a balcony on any one of the vertical faces. In my case, I'm putting them aligned with the slab.

image

My problem occurs when I add multiple grouped balconies. The shift upward aligned with the upper edge of the of the slab face I want it on, and changing the vertical settings doesn't affect anything. As you can see here, I have it on 2 m and it's in the exact same place.

image

My wall is a large curved arena like area. So maybe that's affecting it, but I don't know.

Can you provide a blend file with the curved arena? I guess the grouped balcony is not as robust as can be!
Will look into it.

Sure thing. Also, something that just started happening last night is that the corner posts won't thin out as much on the exact same settings. I don't know what happened. I'm pretty sure I didn't change anything.

Here's the blend file:

Not sure why the railing offset is 0 in this example but it should always be a small number. There's no constraint for adjusting the offset when the corner post width changes so you need to do it manually. A good rule of thumb is the offset should be about half the corner post width.

Issues:

  • Railing offset doesn't work for grouped balconies
  • Vertical offset doesn't work for grouped balconies.
  • Corner posts may be misaligned eg in the case of a dome provided in this issue.

I actually cannot seem to get the railing offset to change. Sliding it or setting it manually it jumps back to 0.

Interestingly, I am not having that alignment problem this time. Just the posts not thinning out as much they did previously and acting....interestingly. And I cannot change the railing offset from 0. It's almost like the problems swapped places. 😶

It is entirely possible I don't know what I'm doing.

EDIT: I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin. The alignment issue returned and the post issue remains.

Also, this little interesting bit. The posts seem to be swiveling on the z-axis based on minor adjustments to the balcony width.

Looks like quite a bit still to be desired with the grouped balcony!
