Can we streamline amending commits? #20

When a git switch is run, can we

determine old git profile
if different determine how many commits were made with that profile on the current repo
streamline amending them to use the new profile?

This sure would beat manually rebasing/editing commits/amending the author. But not sure if git supports doing this programmatically.
