I'd like to create a weekday, after work event for people to continue to build on what they've learned from previous rails bridge events. I thought volunteers could pair with students 1 on 1, but I'm open to suggestions for other formats as well.

I volunteered at the testing event yesterday organized by Akansh and Sanderfer. There were a lot of advanced students that attended that could definitely benefit from this, but the event would also be welcoming to beginners.

I have a space for hosting, so that part is taken care of. I'd love feedback. Also, if anyone is interested in volunteer, please let me know!

Very happy to participate ... esp week nights, and of course to continue contributing to the code base.

Thanks @siruguri. Do you know the process for getting the event on the bridge troll site?

Roughly:

  1. Create an event on Bridge Troll
  2. Ref that event in this issue
  3. Publish - it will send the chapter leads a notification
  4. If you have never organized before, they will want to check in with you,
esp if this is a brand new format.

If you haven't heard from them in like a few days or so, ping one of them -
in SF, Github user aneyzberg is one such lead.

HTH!
