Here is the error:

CLIENT ALERT: Fatal - Certificate Unknown

As discussed here, this particular case was due to the browser not having the root CA cert installed.

In all cases this error is accurate - the client can't verify the RabbitMQ server certificate.

Diagnosing this could be added to the Troubleshooting SSL/TLS guide or to a new guide dedicated to troubleshooting that includes specific log messages.
