qBittorrent & operating system versions

What is the problem?

Same issue on 4.5.2 Win 10 (10.0.1xxxx) qt6 as #5966.

I'm asking it to monitor some folders in Google Drive desktop on Win 10.

Only reliably scans for torrents at launch. Then, it scans successfully when the drive/system/network is not busy.

When qB has been running for days, and when it's been downloading a lot, the reliability of the scan/pull drops to near 0, even when system resources are available, and the torrent files are indeed in the watched folder when checked manually.

I can't provide logs because they contain no non-private information. If I redact it, there will be nothing left. Also, there are like 50 log files.

I don't see anything in the log that directly addresses watched folders.

Same on my Linus NAS environment. Surely because of the shared nature of the watched folder, new torrent files aren't detected when I paste them and I have to restart qbittorrent entirely for the folder to be scanned (I'm using v4.5.4 Web UI).

I've searched around and this issue has been present in multiple forms since 2015.

Adding a option to scan automatically the whole watched folder every x seconds or minutes instead of relying on change detection would be nice and fix everything.

This strategy is used for "recursive" folders. So you could try to enable "recursive" mode for your folders and see whether it fixes your problem or not.
