The issue is closed, but filter branch is still not merged. Are there any updates here?

Issue #11 is closed, but this one is not. You can use filters in Happybase by providing a filter string. This issue is about extending that functionality with an API that allows you to programmatically construct filters instead of providing them as strings. Work on this has stalled, indeed...
