Two issues in the documentation https://pypmc.github.io/user_guide.html#variational-bayes:

The url in reference [Bis06] is broken
\vecth and \vecgamma are not correctly displayed (at least for me)

The url was restored, the problem was not dur to pypmc :)

I could not solve this, it seems to be due to https://www.sphinx-doc.org/en/master/usage/extensions/math.html#confval-mathjax3_config which should be used here

pypmc/doc/conf.py

Line 193 in 5f705e9

mathjax_config = {

since the default version of Mathjax is now v3... but I could not make this work.
