We all at Public Lab 🎈 - learn, grow, work, brainstorm ideas, contribute together so why not share about our weekly goals and the awesome work we have done at Public Lab with each other, so we can support and collaborate with each other better. We have a Community Check-In each week, where every community member can share something about their work from the past week and about their current week's goal 🎯 . You are also welcome to share fun-fact 😄 , new ideas 💡 , your learning goals ☑️.

We believe in collaborative efforts to support our community. We are running a learning platform which helps a newcomer to become master of tomorrow. 💯

Hey all,
I'm watching a lot of Netflix and anime on this quarentine time 😆. But also taking time to contribute to Spectral Workbench and also learning some DevOps related tech, such as Terraform, Kubernetes and Prometheus. Since my PR on Spectral have by recently reviewed and merged by @cesswairimu I'll focus now on increasing the test coverage for the Spectral repo. @gr455 has been helping me a lot with this.

Hey everyone, to pass time, I have been playing Hollow Knight and also just yesterday saw Harry Potter: The Sorcerer's Stone which was my first Harry Potter movie and I loved it. I have also been monitoring and attempting to increase sw's test coverage while my university is closed 😃

Maybe I need to check out Harry Potter. Seems to be popular here. Never read the books or watched the movies...

I am safe, staying home. My husband is working from home now and my kids school has been shut down so I'm keeping busy homeschooling them. We are watching a lot of science shows, I've been watching home renovation shows on Netflix (it's a weakness). I'm worried about friends and family right now.

I am glad everyone is taking care and I hope everyone is staying safe. I am home as well, in lockdown. My college has been shut down for some while. I have been a little inactive for sometime but now I think is a good opportunity to come back to the community! Anyone who needs any help with their GSoC or Outreachy proposals or any other issues, feel free to tag me and message me on Gitter! Thank you everyone!

Glad everyone is doing okay. I'm in NYC and just haven't been able to focus on my Outreachy proposal. But if it doesn't come together for this round, I'm still looking forward to participating in this community where I can 🤗

Hello all, I was a little busy with my midterms examinations and then my mother's post-surgery aids.
Now she is perfectly good from this week.
In India, there is a complete lockdown from 20th March. Even stricter policies came today. Colleges, schools, gyms etc all closed.
I was preparing food with mom and dad today. Learning how to cook amazing Indian food. I hope I will be able to cook good food by end of april.
I have not coded anything in feb nor march. Only reviewed all the proposals. Hoping to start learning something new like react/nodejs from april.
Started with Zumba(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRZcZgSgSHI&feature=youtu.be)/Yoga online. Trying to become a fitness freak from coding pro :)

I'm staying safe too, mostly at home. And I'm going to be spending most of my time writing my outreachy project proposal as I have just gotten started.
The problem is I feel very stressed and rushed about it because i'm starting late. I have had to change my laptop in the past week and have had several problems with setting up my Ubuntu for development.

But I have all problem fixed now and will have to make good use of the time I have left.😊 Cheers!🎉

Hey everyone! Just wanted to say hello and a big thank you to those individuals staying inside in isolation. Similar to @justinelai, I have been focusing other matters due to the pandemic, but now hope to return to a bit of normalcy with contributing to Public Lab. Also, @TroydonAnabolic, I am fortunate to have my own bench and squat rack. Fellow fitness freak here as well.

And to @Shulammite-Aso, you are not alone. After a wild goose chase of hyperlinks, I have finally found this thread. Hope there is some comfort in knowing that I have not wrote my proposal as of yet. I'm assured that the mentors of Public Lab realize that there is a lot at stake involving the applicants this year when making their decision on who to elect as the intern. Now, go kick butt on that proposal!

Hi everyone, I am staying safe mostly at home as India is under a complete lockdown for the next 21 days, everything is shut down here. I was busy completing my college assignments for this week and I also made a telegram bot to help freshers in our college so that they can get the basic information from that and I reviewed some of the first-timers pull requests as well. And I would like to open next week check in.

@nicoleiocana Great to see fellow lifters and fitness freaks on board this. I just have dumbbells and barbells with some reasonable weight only unfortunately and still need a bench and a power rack to make my home gym a decent substitution. Am i required to be enrolled in a University or is a Certificate enrollment that I have completed last year still make me eligible to apply for the internship?

@TroydonAnabolic According to the Outreachy Eligibility Rules, Outreachy is open to both students and people who are not students. Click the link to see further details because it also depends on other factors.

@TroydonAnabolic for GSoC, yes you must be enrolled in an institution at the time of application. For Outreachy you can be apply regardless of whether in school or not.

Thanks @govindgoel 🎉

🌳🌟 Hi everyone, here's something very rewarding you can do in 5 minutes to benefit the entire community: you can fill out this survey and make sure YOU are represented in our 2020 Community Snapshot! https://forms.gle/Q9BNduRGzsLrALxi7 📈

Check out the 2019 report here: https://publiclab.org/notes/liz/04-15-2019/report-2019-software-contributors-survey. We are going to do the same "chart-n-graphs" treatment for 2020 but before we can begin, we need more than 38 people to fill out this survey! That's right, so far only 38 people have filled the 2020 survey even though we have more active contributors than ever. In 2019, 63 people filled out the survey. Let's exceed last year's response rate! Please click here to improve our data quality: https://forms.gle/Q9BNduRGzsLrALxi7

Thank you for all you do!
