I know this has been discussed a million times, the SO is full of it too, but I need to voice my frustration and ask to reconsider adding a file-scoped comment to disable prettier. Heck, even eslint allows it.
We have few complex hand-crafted utility files that were added to .prettierignore, however, few months ago we transitioned our repo to a monorepo, which broke the references resulting in those files being formatted which was buried amongst the hundreds of other filename/folder changes, so the change got approved and we now live with a messy code and needless git history changes that really make reasoning about functionality and adjustments so much worse.
