I am a complete and total noob about MSX both emulation and actual hardware #97

I had recently inherited a Panasonic A1-GT MSX computer from my uncle, and I want to try a trick that can run simulated cassette data encoded as wav files. To do that, I want to see if my .dsk test file can run in an emulator before I ruin it further by using tools that are incompatible with my Mac or not knowing what I'm doing.

I figured it would be as easy as running a .dsk file in the emulated drive, but me being a stupid-ass noob who has absolutely no experience with the MSX, I just can't do it. Is there a Dummies manual for this emulator for dummies like myself?

It's in .dsk format. I also want to convert it to a .wav format so I can trick the hardware into thinking it's loaded from a cassette tape.

I think it's some kind of game.

Apparently, Github is now blocking emails. We can't contact each other off this board. Let me know if you get this:
Oh Shit! (1986)(Aackosoft).zip

Ok, got your dsk image and fixed it.
It had a problematic command (a poke) that works only on some machines, and is not needed nor correct for the MSX standard.

Try the attached FIXED dsk image please.
Oh Shit! FIXED.zip

All right!

Here is your fixed DSK image that shoud run on any machine:
Oh Shit! FIXED 2.zip

And here is your game disk converted to CAS format. Tested in MSX1, MSX2 and MSX2+:
Oh Shit! Cassette.zip

Let me know if you have difficulties loading the tape.
On WebMSX, if you load the tape file with the machine powered OFF, it will automatically start and load the program.
Or you may load the tape file, then click "Run Program" on the Tape menu, and it will also issue the commands to load automatically.

In a real MSX, you must load the tape and run the commands yourself: CLOAD and then RUN.

Have fun!
