Is there any way to change the language from English to another one?

In which language are you trying to write your CV? Writing in a different language is definitely possible but for some languages, you will need to compile using XeLaTeX and may need some additional packages.

I assume this is about the section heading text, not necessarily that a different script is needed.

It is needed for the date though. I just added \RequirePackage[spanish, es-noshorthands]{babel}

What I meant was, this is s bug to the extent that we have hard-coded English titles, which won't change whatever package you import or language you write in your own CV.

I don't think we should go down the route of providing translations, but I think a way to optionally override the text (to be in the desired language) would be good.
