YouTube offers small thumbnails (images changing every few seconds, inside a mhtml file) for every video - yt-dlp format id sb0 (180p), sb1 (90p), sb2 (45p), sb3 (27p).

Would it be possible implement those for youtube videos? It would be much more effective than the default network method

If your going to add support for yt-dlp then there also other sites that also have thumbnails like archive.org.

Yeah, but I can understand that someone wants support on Youtube is one of the most famous platforms for video playing it's the someting necessary
