The file select dialog does not allow certain sqlite3 files to be opened.
For example, a common geomapping data exchange format is a ".gpkg" file, which is just an sqlite file.
As a suggestion, having a checkbox that allows "any file extension" to be selected would be a useful workaround (and a common UX borrowed from other apps).
