I broke a pin in the sim card reader so my router is unusable for me.
Because of this, I can't use the router anymore and I am unwilling to code new features unless essential fixes.
I currently have no plans of buying a new router or the same model or brand.

If you have a spare tp-link 4g router and you are willing to donate it to me to help this project, I would gladly accept it.

If you still find a bug, please file an issue.
If you manage to implement something you think that would be helpful to others, please submit a merge request.

Best regards,

Hi,

Thanks for your reply on the other thread.

Regarding your broken pin, I see it is a common problem especially with that flimsy plastic sim tray
that the sim tray breaks down as it's mentioned in various forums and reviews.

For the MR600 model, there is a fix here:
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/511032

Are you proficient with a hot air soldering iron?
If not, perhaps I could fix it for you?

Hey @retrojon, thank you so much for pointing this out. I feel better knowing it's not entirely my fault haha.

I am not proficient with hot air soldering iron and I do not feel confortable asking anyone to fix it for me, unless you are sure about it and someone can show me where I can find a compatible part.
I think I will keep it for now. Maybe one day I will get interested in hot air soldering.

@plewin Ideally, share an amazon wishlist so a person can buy it. The Archer router isn't that expensive and I'm sure somebody might pitch in, may be even me \o/ :)
