It is related to this feature: #2501. It is impossible to disable sorting by index regardless of the tree sorting method (A->Z, Z->A, manual) selected. This causes serious environmental performance problems. I have about 100'000 data objects in one folder. Moving anything to this folder causes all siblings (100'000 objects) to be updated via updateIndexesOfObjectSiblings in "update" action of DataObjectController. Please add new sorting method like "unsorted" or "default" that will not use/update index column from objects table.
