SAML login stopped working in version 1.6.0

Describe the bug
After the update from version 1.5.2 to 1.6.0 login with SAML stopped working. I get authenticated from IDP successfully and back at phpipam I see a blank screen Fatal SAML error: with no error message.

phpIPAM version

• Latest production release 1.6.0

Your Environment (please supply the following information):

• phpIPAM version: 1.6.0
• OS Debian 11 64bit
• PHP version 7.4.33
• Webserver Apache
• Database MariaDB 10.5.21

Screenshots and error logs
I have set $debugging=true; in config.php and also 'debug' => true, in functions/php-saml/settings.php
But there are no errors in the logs unfortunately, only Fatal SAML error:

After upgrading to 1.6. Try running git submodule update in the folder containing config.dist.php

Thanks @GaryAllan I tried it and the SAML error is still there.
