Is this library deprecated, are we supposed to move to https://github.com/phphe/he-tree.

I had constructed my treeview extending this tree component and using overrideSlotDefault method. Is the same supported in the new component?

Not deprecated. I will not add new features to this library. In he-tree, you need wrap the component and use slot.
